Authorizations expire after a certain amount of time so they need to be renewed to ensure that we continue to have a guarantee in place for your future payments. Authorization renewals vary by plan, but if they are required, they typically renew every 18-21 days.
Once a new authorization is successful, Splitit releases the existing one. Your bank then must release the hold on the funds from your card; the timeline for this varies by bank, issuer, and is unique for each customer. You must partner directly with your bank to determine when the hold on your funds will be released.
