Why have I lost the ability to pay in installments when I have kept up to date with my monthly payments?
Updated
There are two types of transactions that are involved with your installment plan.
The authorization for the full purchase price (hold only, not a charge)
The monthly installment payments
Both of these transactions must remain on track in order for you to continue paying in installments.
In case any of the above-mentioned transactions are declined, you have a 7-day grace period to resolve any issues with the card on file. Sometimes, a quick call to your financial institution asking them to allow the transaction will be enough to resolve the issue. Other times you may need to update your credit card on file.
If the problem persists after the grace period, the outstanding balance of the purchase will be charged in full to the card on file.
You will be notified by email of every update concerning your payment plan. Therefore, please make sure that you allow emails from noreply@splitit.com.
