For all of the Retailers we partner with, only a valid Credit Card can be used to create a new installment plan. This ensures your monthly payments will be able to be collected through the life of your plan.
Splitit installment plans can only be paid with credit cards i.e. Visa, Mastercard, Amex (merchant dependent) and Discover (merchant dependent). The Retailer determines which cards are allowed, so please contact them directly if you have any questions.
For existing installment plans, in most cases a debit card can be used to pay off the full balance of your plan (but not for a single monthly installment). Feel free to reach out to Splitit directly by filling out this contact form, and select "I wish to pay off my plan in full" as the Contact Reason, to partner with us for this payment option.
Note: If your existing plan is already set up with a debit card, your merchant or retailer will continue to take payments from your debit card.
