When you buy using Splitit 'Pay After Delivery' an authorization (hold) is placed on your card for the purchase amount to guarantee payment. This is not a charge.
What happens after checkout?
- A temporary authorization (not a charge) for the purchase has been placed on your card.
- This is simply a hold to secure your order and this hold will roll off your account once your order is marked as delivered. While the hold is on your card, your available credit is reduced by this amount.
- This authorization is typically shown by your credit card issuer as a 'pending' or 'reserved' transaction.
- You will receive email updates until your order is delivered.
- Once delivery is confirmed either by you or the carrier, payment for your order will be charged to your card. If delivery is not confirmed after AliExpress’s specified timeframe, you will be charged in full.
