Splitit is a technology partner of Samsung, giving you the option to split your purchase into monthly payments directly through Samsung Wallet. The plan uses your existing credit card balance — there are no credit checks or reports to credit bureaus.
💳 How Your Samsung Wallet Installment plan works
🛍️ 1. Make your purchase
- Pay in-store using Samsung Wallet at a participating Merchant.
- Minimum $50, only eligible US based Visa and Mastercard credit cards (excluding Chase and some others) that have been activated for installment plans.
📋 2. Choose your plan
-
If eligible, you’ll see installment options with applicable interest rates listed.
-
You have 24 hours to choose — otherwise, your purchase will be charged in full.
⚙️ 3. Plan creation
Once you choose a plan, Splitit creates your installment plan. You’ll see:
🔸 A temporary hold for the full purchase amount
🔸 A temporary hold for the total interest amount
🔸 Your first installment payment
💰 4. Ongoing payments
-
Future payments are charged automatically on your biweekly or monthly schedule.
-
Payment dates can’t be changed.
-
Transactions appear as Splitit_Merchant Name on your credit card.
-
Your APR% stays the same for the entire plan.
🧾 5. Managing your plan
-
💸 Make extra payments anytime in the Splitit Shopper Portal.
-
🚫 No prepayment penalty.
-
💳 To update your card, log in and click “Update Card.”
(A new temporary hold will appear for your remaining balance.) -
Your plan continues until it’s paid in full.
Note: If your monthly payment is declined, we will email you to let you know. You will be given 7 days to resolve the card issue. During this time we will continue to try the declined transaction. After 7 days, if the transaction is still declined, we reserve the right to charge your card for that payment, or up to the full remaining plan balance using the last successful authorization.
💡 If Your Purchase Changes
-
-
💳 Additional authorization: If you add a tip after plan creation or the Merchant updates your total (tip, partial refund, etc.), your card may show a temporary hold for the difference plus any extra interest.
-
🏷️ Merchant controls price: Splitit updates your plan automatically and emails the new details.
-
⏳ Temporary hold: Funds may be blocked until your bank releases them (usually a few days, up to 30).
-
❌ Not a charge: Authorizations won’t appear on your credit card bill.
-
🔄 Returns, Refunds, or Merchandise Issues
-
🛒 Contact the Merchant: Always work directly with the Merchant for returns, refunds, or product issues.
-
🔄 Plan updates automatically: Any Merchant-approved changes to your purchase will update your Splitit plan.
-
💳 No new authorization: Refunds after plan creation adjust your plan value — they don’t create new holds on your card.
