Splitit is now available through your Samsung Wallet—making it easier than ever to pay over time with your credit card. These plans include interest and are different from Splitit's traditional Retail Plans. If you did not create your installment plan through your Samsung Wallet, then this information does not apply to your plan.
Here's how Samsung Wallet Installment plans work:
Step 1: Activate Installments in Samsung Wallet
Before using installments, you must activate the feature in your Samsung Wallet settings.
Step 2: Tap to Pay In-Store
Once activated, you can tap to pay in-store at most of your favorite retailers using your preferred credit card(2) stored in Samsung Wallet. The sample card image below shows where to select BEFORE you tap to pay.
After selecting that option, the screen below will open up. They must continue through this screen in order to be presented with installment options. Next they should select the blue Pay in installments button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Choose Your Installment(1) Plan
If your purchase is eligible:
- An installment offer will appear after you tap to pay.
- Review the plan options (number of payments, fees, etc.).
- Accept the plan to begin—your first payment will be charged right away.
Note: If you do not select a plan within 24 hours, the full purchase amount will be charged to your card as a one-time payment.
How Your Installment Plan Works
- First Installment: Charged within 48 hours of purchase.
- Future Installments: Automatically charged monthly or bi-weekly on the same day each cycle (this date cannot be changed).

Authorization Hold: A temporary hold for the full purchase amount is placed on your card when the purchase is made, plus another authorization for the interest once your plan is successfully created. These two authorizations are not a charge, but they do reduce your available credit.
- Most holds are released within 30 days.
- Hold duration depends on your card issuer—please contact your bank for specific timing.

Note: a third authorization may occur if you added a tip to your purchase; this amount would be for the tip plus any additional interest.
