If your card is no longer available for your recurring installment payments or any required reauthorizations, and your Splitit transactions are failing, our system will email you to update your account to a new credit card.
Only credit cards are allowed for your installment plan; we cannot accept debit cards unless you wish to pay your plan off completely. If you do not have another card that meets the requirements, the recommended option is to pay your plan in full using a debit card.
If you are waiting to get your new card, but it will not arrive within the 7-day grace period, we also recommend paying your plan in full using a debit card.
The only other option we recommend is to partner with the Merchant where you made your purchase as they may have other payment solutions that you can switch to instead of continuing with your installment plan.
We understand none of these options may be the resolution you want, but we are unable to extend the 7-day grace period for a card update. If your card is not updated within the grace period, your card issuer will allow us to use the most recent authorization to charge up to your full outstanding plan value. We greatly appreciate your understanding of how our program works.
